There's lots of tools online available, freeware, trial and the commercial ones.
I get a list of the tools by typing mp3 convertion (it's a typo, I know) in google.

The only converter I ever used, is windows media player, the method is called rip. as it takes audio files in cd format and convert it. Windows media player 11, allows the following format for ripping.

mp3
wma
wma pro
wma loseless
wma (variable bit rate)
wav (loseless)

Give it a try.
